New Wi-Fi Booster extender on 2018's?
At our RV show last weekend I saw several Forest River campers that had a sticker advertising their new Wi-Fi Booster. I don't remember seeing it on our 25FKS Micro Lite we purchased last fall. (Haven't picked it up yet). Does anyone know anything about it?

I don’t really worry about about WiFi at campgrounds as I never use campground WiFi. I use cellular data and my hotspot for my laptop.

In any CG we've been in that had Wi-Fi never had a problem where a "booster" is necessary. With that said, over 90% of the CG's throttle your data. There's adequate bandwidth to check your email and such, but you're not going to be able to stream video. Additionally, if you want to do work over a VPN you may have problems. If you can't live with this then it is advisable to bring your own data plan.

The Wi-Fi Ranger came standard on our 2018 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2606. Tried it out on our last camping trip. The signal strength at the CG we were at was just 1 bar since we were at the other end of the CG from the office. Turned on the Wi-Fi Ranger and connected to the CG Wi-Fi. We had a solid 4 bars and the grandkids were very happy.

You don't have to use it... but in many campgrounds your laptop or phone wifi may have problems picking up the campground wifi signals. Some campgrounds get a few AP's and hang around using the LAR wireless engineering method... Looks About Right. Some campsites have great signal and others farther out or more trees, campers, buildings or a real wifi signal killer... chain link fences. The ranger antenna is on top of the camper with a wireless router inside so it acts like your home wireless and rebroadcasts the signal. Usually the Wifi Range Extender in the 2018's is better that just laptop alone.

Wifi extender model #3
I have a wifi extender on my flagstaff 2019 flagstaff micro lite 21ds. I have not been able to get it to work and might as well have a block of wood on the roof with a blue light on it. I am not a young man and at this stage of my life have no desire to become an informed techie. Simple technical instructions I can follow but the instructions on this thing to get it to work appear beyond reason. Keep in mind this thing takes a week signal amplifies it, provides some security and bingo your away to the races. I would rather sit outside in the sun in my lawn chair with a glass of wine then inside the rv on my computer trying to get this thing to work.
Happy camping, moe

If I sat outside today, I'd have to be a fish.
I investigated WiFi Ranger, and Winegard ConnecT 2.0. With help of a friend, I installed a borrowed Netgear AC750 (about $25.00) on a pole zip-tied to back ladder, and I'm flying..........so I ordered another for me, it'll be here Tuesday. Need to find some poles at Lowe's. Works great.
I won't be using expensive Cellular plans for internet while at long term stays. It's ok for a night here or there, a few minutes. My cell usage is around 1-2G a month at most.
