Unhappy Newbie - 2007 HW 25S/C PUP

We are total novices when it comes to our PUP. We have used it a total of 5 times in almost 2 years and everytime something is wrong with it. We purchased it new in October 2007.

We are going camping this weekend and raised the roof about 4 weeks ago to get everything ready and checked before we went after having it down for the winter.

The hoist raised fine and we setup just fine. Last night we went to lower the roof and the hoist won't lower the roof. Battery has a full charge, but nothing when you move the switch to lower or raise. We didn't have use of the 12V lights either (this didn't work when we raised it a month ago). We've checked fuses and all work and it has been hooked up to electric power the entire month.

Any ideas for total novices/newbies? Frustration with this is making us consider strongly selling this even though we do love to camp!

Some friends have a Fleetwood popup and had same problem no power or 12 volt lites working and found it was the sink not properly seated. Apparently some ground wire as a safeguard attached to sink area

Thank you

Unfortunately, this PUP is a High Wall series and the sink doesn't move. But thank you for the information.

Then there must be some type of electrical connection in the unit from lower to upper portion of trailer that is not making contact as what you are describing is exactly what our friends experienced no lights on upper portion of unit
Hope hint helps a little to troubleshoot problem

Thank you for all of the reponses. Just an update.

The light issue and roof lift were unrelated. The lights not functioning were a result of wiring connection had come undone. As for the roof lift, we took it to the dealer and were told it was fuse we never would have found. Not related to the switch or lift itself. They removed the fuse and put in a breaker.
