Whatever this 'appliance selector switch' is, I think mine may have been bad from the early days and now has gotten worse.

I have a 2015 Rockwood Signature Ultralite 8282WS with the entertainment center/fireplace/refer/microwave in a slide.

From the beginning, the fireplace would mysteriously shut off and come back on like it was haunted. The dealer replaced the fireplace but it was found not to be defective (and the replacement did the same thing). I eventually "fixed" it by moving the fireplace plug to different outlet behind the fireplace and under the TV lift.

Now the microwave outlet is not working. The microwave works when removed and plugged into a different kitchen outlet but my wife would not think this to be an ideal solution for meal preparation. A voltage tester shows the cable to be hot (and switching properly with the breaker) so obviously it is the neutral that is being interrupted.

Where would I find this mystery switch and moreover, where would I find a replacement?

I did find the little beastie. Its called an Automatic Energy Select Switch and it was screwed to the floor behind the fuse panel, accessible from the screwed-shut cabinet door under the bathroom linen closet.

However, it seems to be doing what it is supposed to do - there's 120VAC on the input and both primary and secondary load lines.

The problem must lie downstream.

I found this switch by accident when investigating why the fireplace did not work. Had no idea it was connected to the microwave.

I had Forest River customer rep send a link to the operating manual as it did not have one. Online manual does not mention the fireplace or switch.

FR also told me that schematics wouldn't be supplied to the public.

Thanks to all.
They can't train their employees how to wire 2 the same way
