During my last service visit at a Ram dealer, the service writer plugged into my OBDII port which connects directly to FCA in Auburn Hills. I'm thinking they will know rather quickly if I am running a tune.
The Ram dealers that I have gone to can't plug into my OBDII port on my truck, without my permission. There is a lock on the port so, only I can access the OBDII port when needed.
I had to take my 2008, in for a recall sometime ago and the service writer without even asking simply open the door and tried to access the OBDII port. Boy was he surprised when he could not access the port. So, I asked him what he wanted, he said he need to access the OBDII port. I said what for the recall does not require this action. He was not a happy camper!
