I'll have to take a pic to the crimp tool I've been using at work for the the last 26 years. Closes pretty much every type of ring clamp out there and maybe cost $20. Son bought the $80 dollar Pex crimp and I borrowed mine from work. Mine did as good if not better. I'll try to post a pic later.

Those connections are great, but I am too cheap

All my repairs and upgrades to PEX is done with Sharkbite push to fit connectors. Doesn't get any easier than that and have not had one leak in 10 years. And if I decide to change things, they are reusuable! Perfect.
I am too cheap to buy shark bite push-on connections, plus they swivel where you sometimes don't want them to. I use the clamp ring type in my trailer and in house remodels. I can get around restricted space most times by making a lot of my connections outside the area then making the last one inside the space at a reachable spot. All of the connections are reuseable but you have to cut off the ring.

I do the very same, I "dry fit" all the bits and pieces then take it out to connect what I can before taking it into the camper to hookup.

The old compression bands and the Bolt Cutter type of tool is not easy to use in the camper. I use the cinch rings with a ratcheting tool that is easy peasy

If I were in a spot where the tool would not fit Id then go get a Sharkbite but since I have the tool anyway why waste the money.

The only leak I’ve had in my 11 year old TT was from pex. Cut pex put on Sharkbite. Easy Peasy. I’ll try never to go back to pex.

I guess you can re-plumb your entire camper with copper tubing.

I purchased this tool. I have used shark bite valves before and did not have an issue, however, they cost $14 each for two a lowes. I have 6 rvs, so I think carrying a supply of them would be prohibitive. I think this is a good move for me. Thanks to everyone for all of the information.
