Sorry popeye, only saw your comments after sending mine.
It was his outdoor kitchen door that opened, not his main door.

This happened to me, though I didn't damage any other vehicles, I damaged the door severely when I pulled over and it hit a sign. (I did not know the door was open, just had a driver shouting at me to get over. For those judging about mirrors, I'm here to tell you that on my rig at least you CAN NOT adjust your mirrors such that you would see the outside kitchen open. Believe me I have tried. To ensure I never have another such disaster, (cracked the hinge, damaged the door, tore off both hydraulic lifts, lost some items from inside) I replaced the locks with longer catches, and I added an additional clip as a fail safe. Before spring I intend to add that to all hatch doors. We do a very methodical check before rolling out, each and every time, so it was certainly not an unlatched door.As with many issues with my FR surveyor, this is a design flaw that I have had to compensate for.

Is this a new RV? If so, and you prove that the door doesn't latch properly then they should (better!) repair it. Let the NHTSA know this happened also. They need to know about dangerous issues like this.

As for the damage to other vehicles, if FR fixed the door because of the failure then the insurance company can go after FR for compensation.

This doesn't have anything to do with the outside kitchen. But I went to Gettysburg and my inside sink cave in. So I call the dealer and they fix it
