Oven problems

New to the RV World. Just got my first RV it old but in good shape. The oven is not working right. Pilot light comes on fine. When I turn to Broil is coming on. But it only works on broil. Turn is down and the fire goes out but the pilot stays on.

welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. On broil the unit is calling for heat all the time. When you turn the knob down it may be going to a bake mode and shutting down flame until the temp is reached. have you waited to see what happens when you change the position of the control knob?

It could be as SeaDog said or it could be the control unit is bad and not calling for heat when in temp control mode.

Give us the make and model of the oven and maybe we can help more.

There's not much info on that model.

You could try replacing the thermocouple as that's a pretty inexpensive part.

Just an FYI,

ATWOOD IS NOW DOMETIC
Beginning in 2017 Atwood is sold under the Dometic brand.

Depending on the age of your trailer may not have any info. But may be worth a call.

Good luck

I have found that Atwood usually goes by the serial number instead f the model number. If you have the the serial number the links below might help.
