I was wondering if the manufacturers published owners manuals for their products at one point. I'm looking for a manual (if it ever existed) for a "98" FS Cardinal. Or did one even exist??

The RV Industry standard for an owner's manual is a generic owners manual with no model-specific nor brand-specific information. Just basic RV systems information.
You can download the current version on FR's website since it will probably be virtually the same as in 1998.
But there is no resource for a 27 year old Cardinal ownersmanual, other than finding someone else who has a 1998 Cardinal.

X2. The manual the manufacturer supplies are VERY generic. They cover multiple lines of TT's and 5er's. Nothing in them is specific. Often the pictures/diagrams are vague and not even comparable to what you have. I got one with my Salem and it didn't tell me anything. Luckily, my dealer provided me with manuals for all the appliances and extras on a CD.
