Parts for folding dinette table

I have one of the wobbly dinette tables that converts to a bed. Looking at it recently it appears that there is a part missing.


When the table legs are extended straight, the sections come together and meet at plastic caps on each section except for one location. See attached photos.


I spoke to Forest River about this and could not get an answer if there was a missing piece or not. Their only response was to want to sell me a new base for $100!


Seems excessive for two pieces of plastic if in fact they are missing. Can someone with a similar table let me know if all of the tube that extend when the table is in the up position are in fact capped? Also does anyone have a source for the manufacturer of the base so that I can approach them directly to obtain parts?
