Power stab jacks?

The power stab jacks on my Wilderness 28DBUD have a lot of "give" to them when they are down, meaning when some were to say walk up and down the steps, the camper has a lot of side to side give to it. The dealer says this is normal, but I cant see how it is. Even for my wife who is very tiny (5-1) they give a lot. Front to back isn't bad thanks to my x chocks, but does anyone else experience this?

Also, the further down the jacks are from the frame, the less effective they become. If possible, try putting blocks under the jacks to reduce the amount of travel. Wood or "lego" blocks work well.

I plan on building some jack pads out of pressure treated lumber this spring. I figure the trailer does sit up really high, so it makes sense that two "lego" blocks under each pad would really do a dang thing. Adding tall pads, and the jack under the stairs should help the sway a decent amount.

If you look at the design of the stab jacks, the jacks slide on a channel and the farther down the legs go, (as close to vertical as possible) the less tendency they have of sliding from side to side. I reinforced the legs on the rear jacks and the axle jacks and try to get them as close to vertical as possible. Don't have the side to side movement at all. Putting blocks to keep the legs as high as possible just aggravates the side to side problem.

Your talking about the rear and in your case also the middle stabilizers not the front landing jacks am I correct?

To get back to this, what would you do in a situation that doesn't allow for the jacks to fully extend? This just doesn't seem right how much side to side movement there is.

As TURBS mentioned, the fix is to add triangulation stabilizers. He linked to the JT StrongArms whereas I'm a fan of the SteadyFast system (less bars, less moving parts, and way easier on the hands for tightening).

Forest River is actually sending me 2 new switches and 2 6 amp mini breakers. They said on the 2015's and older, the motors basically cannot push down hard enough before the factory installed mini breakers pop to actually keep it from swaying. They claim this is the "fix" plus they are also sending me a touch screen remote to control my camper for the "hassle"
