Recall NHTSA 17V635

Plastic hub cover wheel insert interference with wheel mating for loss of wheel torque. What is the fix they are doing just removing the plastic hubs? Don’t want to haul back to the dealer for something easily fixed by myself

Had similar issue too

I have a 2018 FR Flagstaff 206LTD with the plastic hub covers like in my attached picture. I was having an issue with a noise while braking. When I removed the lugnuts and wheel I found that the rim had worn thru the flange that holds the cover in place. My unit had less than 500 miles on it when I found this. Can't say for sure if the lugnuts were torqued correctly as I was not looking for that when I dismounted the wheel assembly.
