Refrigerator Vents

I’m looking at buying a 2014 Silverback 29 foot fifth wheel. The owner has sprayed foam in the fridge vents on the outside of the camper filling every hole. Is this a bad thing or a good thing.
Thanks Steve.

Welcome from New Jersey, Are we talking about the cooling vents on the sides?

Welcome to the forum, where there's a wealth of knowledge and information.
First off, a rv fridge needs to vent to some degree. I don't quite understand that part of your problem, from the previous owner, spraying foam into the holes.
Didn't they explain why they did this?
They'll be others chime in shortly.
Again, congratulations and enjoy from Central NC.

Did they remove the standard Dometic electric/propane fridge and maybe replace it with a residential style fridge?

I’m not sure I’ll have to ask.
Thanks

It’s on the outside of the camper there’s a top vent and bottom vent. I didn’t take pictures

We would need to know the make, model, and type of refrigerator currently installed in order to answer the question.

I spoke to the owner and they did replace it with an electric refrigerator last year. Her husband passed away and she wasn’t sure why he had done it
Thanks for the help

This would certainly explain why the previous owner sealed up the vents.

The exterior Vents are used for the Absorption version refrigerator that probably was installed originally.

I would seal up those vents as well to prevent pest infestations.
