Remove induction stove top

I've got a True Induction 2 burner counter inset stove top, TI 2B model. I need to get it out of the counter and possibly replace with a new one. I can't figure how to get it out. On line and the manual talks about there is just double backed tap and you can pry it out. That's not working. I've looked underneath and can't locate any sort of fastener. Thanks in advance. ...rob
