Removing Sticky Rubber from TT

I'm in the process of replacing the exterior D seals around the bump out openings. The TT is 9 years old and the rubber seals have deteriorated. I've purchased replacement seals but need to clean the sticky rubber from the slide out flanges. I've searched this forum for the best methods to do this but haven't found anything. Maybe I'm using the wrong keywords. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you tried goo gone? They have several different types, WD40 will remove some glues.

3M Stripe Off Wheel is the best tool I have seen for this. $33 for two including drill adapter. It will not harm the surface.

It only comes with one, but the reviews are very good. I just ordered one. I like to remove and replace the badges on my truck a lot and this should handle the leftover adhesive with aplomb.

I have been using this to remove adhesives for years... will not harm your trailer finish

Goof Off or Desolv-it. Both citrus based, removes graphics glue great.
