Cool Rockwood Dinette seat failures

Just bought a 2020 Rockwood 2706, love it. My only concern is the BAD Design of the dinette seats. I have attached a pic of the culprit the edge of the seat is folding over and will eventually break off due to people sliding in and out of the seats. That's the only way one of any size, no I have not been on "My 600lb life" I am a normal size guy and so are all of my guests. One cannot simply stand up and get out of the dinette to prevent this either. I think they should have used some of that fine cabinetry wood for these pieces and it would have been fine or not put one there at all. Any ideas on how to fix this. I do love the trailer but this is quite sad to see a brand new trailer with a scar already.

They've been using that design for a while now.. my 2008 has the same seats (different fabric). Come to think of it I'm pretty sure my old pop-up did too.. it was a 2002.

Honestly, it hasn't been an issue for us (outside of the mice chewing on the fabric when they got in there last winter). I don't think there would be anything stopping you from simply removing that piece though. Have you tried?
