Rotted Slide Out Floor - Dynamax Isata Series 4 by FR
Hello all.
Noticed that my slide out floor had water damagea couple weeks ago. The vacuum bonded floor had begun to droop forward at the base where it was screwed into the slide frame. This caused a break in the silicone leading to water entering at the base of the floor. In short, I removed all the plywood only to be told it’s vacuum bonded and the whole slide needs to be removed to properly repair the floor, have plywood applied, and shore it back up to level with the frame. It is also drooping downward and the rollers have eaten into the exterior bottom vapor barrier as a result. It is a 2018, and I have full coverage on it. Would it even be worth it to try through Geico insurance? I’m getting a quote of 5000 easy at a reputable repair shop.
Thanks!
