Ruh Roh Raggie! Wall separating

Scooby Doo said that
DH is finally getting the driveway repaired so he pulled our little TT up to the lake and I am enjoying a little me time.
A week ago I got this sweet kitten and he is on his first camping trip. He loves to hide. So I was looking for him and when I looked behind our recliner I didn't find him but I saw the light!
That's right, just behind DH's chair the wall is separating from the floor! Anybody else experience this?

Is this on a slide or the actual wall of the rig?

Yes, there have been some prior reports of the slide floor separating from the wall.
I believe I recall the slide being replaced.

First thing to look for is water intrusion. A leak would cause rot and separation.
If not leaking then the factory may do something if you are out of warranty.

The factory fixed us!!

See my past posts “I can see clearly now”
Our Mini had some troubles. The factory fixed it all. It was frustrating and time consuming but in the end we got a perfect unit back. And we’ve had many wonderful trips since. Winterized and tucked in for winter now. Not snowbirding this year. Good luck.

This happened on my 2016 Surveyor 291BHSS,which I bought brand new. On year four of ownership Almost the entire slide out wall separated from the slide out floor. I brought back to the dealership I purchased the unit from. They inspected it and took pictures and said it looked like a structural defect to them. They sent the pictures and description to the manufacturer,Forest River, and Forest River told me there was nothing they could do for me. So I proceeded to take it apart and removed and replaced all small crappy screws that had broken off. There was only about eight screws in the top of the L channel and eight screws in side of the L channel holding the slide out wall to the floor. It is one of the worst structural designs I have ever seen. It was designed to fail which it did. It’s was only a matter of time before it fell apart. Complete garbage!! I replaced the screws with bigger diameter and more stainless steel screws. Hopefully it does the trick and it stays together. The dealership wanted $3500.00 to fix it! I will never buy another Forest River product again. It made it through year five. I really didn’t tow it much this year. A few short trips. I made the repair myself this past spring. I now know to keep a close eye on this wound!! I am sure this is the common practice as far as building these things and I am sure there is going to be a lot more people with this issues. Buyer beware!!! Forest River does not stand behind their products!!!

Is it wood where the floor and wall meet?
Along with screws I would make sure to run a good heavy bead of subfloor adhesive too.

Our rig is 3 years old. We got the extended warranty so *crossing my fingers* I hope they fix it.

Yes it is wood. I did run a bead of adhesive when I put it back together.
