RV Airflow vs cold shower

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question so if the Mods feel it should go elsewhere, please make it happen.

I've been looking at the RV Airflow system to improve the flow AND make things quieter in our TT. We have the Dometic Brisk Air 2 and it cools OK but it seems to always be running with the fan on high (using Auto mode) and it makes having normal conversation pretty difficult. For me it would be a no brainer to get the RV Airflow system but... DW likes to use the "cold shower" on occasion and she's hesitant to give it up (it appears to eliminate that output - if I'm wrong on that let me know). If the system would improve the cooling in the trailer enough she'd probably not mind not having the cold shower.

So that's my question to anyone who's installed this in their RV. Did it make a big difference in the overall cooling of the RV? Did you miss the cold shower from the original A\C?

The “dump” as we call it more or less short cycles the AC so it’s not really a benefit. My father in law and I did a DIY version of this with foam and tape. 3 years in I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s quieter, and it went from barely blowing out the ducts to—and much to our surprise—blowing paper towels off the table when it kicked on the first time.

110% worth it in my opinion.

Have installed the unit and it works. Don't miss the "dump" because the air from the ducts is stronger.

I have the RV Airflow in my living room AC and it works great, don't miss the dump because we never used it as it’s too high to reach. I was thinking about doing the DIY version in the bedroom because it will retain the dump feature for the wife and quite the AC while running and improve the air flow.

Thanks to all for the replies. I may try the DIY version first to see how it works - I'm as interested in quieting things down as much as getting better airflow. Hopefully it will give me both!

I installed the Koolrv duct and am happy with it. Lowered the fan noise also.

I installed the Wacko RV Silencer in my TT. There is no going back, the noise level is greatly reduced and as mentioned above the airflow at the ducts is far better.

Down to either the RV Airflow insert box or the KoolRV duct over here. Price is *much better* on the KoolRV product, but both seem to be a lot of money for what they are (vs what they do). I can see some more potential noise reduction for both, though maybe a *little* more from the RV Airflow solution. Savings codes a-plenty were easy to find on the RV Airflow box, not so much on the KoolRV duct. More to come.
