Satelittle Connection

We have a 2010 Villa Estate - that is marked as satelitte ready - however we can't for the life of us get a satelitte signal to go through to a receiver. We've tried hooking the cable input into the rear jack marked "satelitte", then connected the cable input in the interior to the receiver - no signal. If we hook the input cable directly into the rear of the receiver (bypassing the trailer connection) - we have a signal. Problem is we can't leave the cable running this way.

We are not sure if we are missing a step when the cable is connected to the rear of the trailer or possibly the trailer isn't truly "satelitte ready". Our local RV shop tells us it really isn't - but the brochure and paperwork clearly states that it is.

Has anyone else been able to connect a satelittle receiver and if so, how?

Thank you!

The dish gets hooked up to the coax labeled "SAT" outside the camper.

The ONLY place you can connect to the other end is at the coax connector labeled "AUX/SAT" in the Living Room. there is no way to get SAT to any other TV in the camper without rewiring.

Thank you for the response - what if you have already tried that?? When we hook the sat into the outside connection and the coaxial from the sat/aux to the receiver inside - we still do not get a signal? But if we run the cable directly from the dish to the receiver (through the door) - we get a signal.

The tech from where we purchased it said it isn't wired for Satelitte - not the correct cable that the satelitte cable needs a extra wire. However, Forest River's tech and the brochures both say it is satelitte ready. We aren't sure if there is a "magic" button or switch inside that we do not have turned on? We are hesitant to drill a hole to run the cable in and certainly don't want the cable running up the front of the cabinet?

There is a single coax cable that is home run from the AUX/SAT connector (top one in photo) to the SAT labeled coax connector on the outside of the camper. NOT the one outside labeled CABLE! There should be TWO F-connectors outside in the square exterior plate.

Remove the wall plate and make sure they actually INSTALLED the SAT cable to the top F-connector.
