Schwintek (Lippert) Slideout Motors

I have one Schwintek slide that's always been slow or hesitant, and has been repaired more than once, and now has yet another bad motor. Does anyone know if the existing 300:1 motors can be replaced by the more powerful 500:1 motors, without a rewire, i.e., plug and play?

Call these guys. They can answer that question as one of their technicians was just at Lippert for training on that slide out.

Nope. I called Lippert, left my call back number, and nothing. Gonna call tomorrow and wait for them to pick up. I'm a member on other forums, but no one's been able to definitively answer, either.

I think you're on to something, so thank you. The side measurements are uneven. It's the correct 2-1/2" at the bottom gear rack and less than 2" at the top. In fact and on closer inspection I can see where the motor is so close to the sidewall corner at the top that I believe the slide is dragging.

I'm going to measure the box to make sure it's not racked, which would be a different fix. After watching a couple of videos, it appears I can loosen the column on that side and adjust it outwards to increase the gap. If not, it looks like a total removal and servicing of the gibs and gizmos inside the column.
