Shower surround question

I don't think it will matter but just asking for opinions to make sure. I need to replace the shower surround but the original surround is no longer available from Duo-Form. My unit came with a surround 57" tall, the only thing available is 62" tall. This would put the top of the surround about 1" from the ceiling. My thinking is that there would less chance of getting water behind it. Anyone see a reason this might be a bad idea?
Thanks

Shower surround

I have a 2011 Rockwood 8285WS, the plastic shower material likes about 6" going all the way up to the ceiling, it is just caulked good at the top.
