Ask for some "push on" or "gator" or "sharkbite" type 1/2 inch fittings. Both streight and 90 degree. Will allow you to fix most leaks or bad fittings. Everything probably won't cost more than 15 bucks, but invalvuable if your on the road somewhere and need em.

Oh yes, I also got the correct lug nuts to go along, cheap insurance.

I always carry a pre-made tool kit that came in a nice blow-molded case. Includes a good set of combination wrenches, sockets, ratchets, many driver bits. I supplement with a few extra screwdrivers and adjustable wrenches carried in a Harbor Freight plastic ammo box. Also a 12 volt air compressor and tire gauge.

I think I carry all the above! But, there is one I have learned to never leave home without: spare propane regulator! I've had three fail in three years...and always at the worst time.

I used to try and carry parts I thought I might need. Never used any of it. Just hauled it around and moved it out of the way so I could get to other stuff
All I really carry now is tools, fuses, silicon and dicor caulk, and duct tape. Really no spare parts at all. Rarely do we find we are more than an hour away from somewhere we can buy what we need. No more extras.... We are free! Free at last

I carry a square point bit for RV style screws. Can't get anything tight or loose without it. Duct tape, electrical crimp connectors, black tape, silicone, multi meter, wire strippers, wrenches, pliers, channel locks, dikes. Figure what I can't fix with that stuff can wait till I get to the store. Not invasive as far as the space it takes up. You'll never anticipate every failure so just do proper checks and maintenance before the trip, and during the trip, and after the trip, and most situations can be dealt with ahead of time. Don't wait till your camped out to see why the furnace won't run, or the water heater won't light, or the slide motor runs slow, or the batteries won't charge.

As is generally the case, these types of questions get you a broad spectrum of answers, seemly dependent on one issue or another that has been encountered while on the road. None are bad answers, it just depends on how much room you have.

I once had the propane hoses leak at the swivel, emptied the tanks. Wondered why the fridge was warm when I got to cades cove, ordered new ones, through a quirk in shipping I have two extra now. I have replaced both hoses now on a 5 year old camper

I had to replace mine on day4 of my new camper. Did not leak during PDI but when I got home they did. Rather than pay $40 in fuel towing the trailer into the dealer I did it myself for $12.

Seems as if the hoses set into the shape they are in while connected to the tank and when changing tanks any pressure on the fittings seem to cause leaks at the swivels,,,,,guess I need to look for some wire braided hoses. Need to do thorough leak test every time you change a tank.

I saw a couple folks mentioned bearings & seals - can you determine size/part number you need without tearing down a wheel?
