Step gears bad

Hello everyone, I知 a newbie RV are here. I recently had my step repaired of a broken bolt holding The gear that pushes the step in and out. A new problem has arisen and I wanted to know if anyone knew how to disconnect the step all together. Like, unplug it or take the fuse out so it stops working. The gears are slipping and it makes a banging noise for several seconds when it retracts.

Please help LOL I知 on the road

Don't know which coach you have but on mine there is a 20 amp fuse in a green fuse holder directly connected to the battery lug in the battery bay. Pull it and it stops the steps.

Since you didn't post any information on your RV nor have it listed in your profile, we have no idea what RV you have.
We can only assume it's a motorhome of some kind, because of the motorized steps.
