Stripped nut on Kitchen faucet base

I have a Georgetown Series 5 2018 coach. The faucet got a little loose from the base. My son who is a weight lifter reached under the sink to retighten the collar or base nut and it was plastic and stripped out. It is a fancy nickel plated faucet that is spring type with removable head to to use as a spray nozzle. Are the nuts universal and something I can get at Lowes or camping world or will I have to replace entire faucet assembly. Thanks in advance for your advice.

The nuts should be universal, but this is an RV and they are known to use off spec stuff in them. I'd take the nut with you and match it up.

This is most likely a 1/2 pipe straight thread, ( 1/2- NPS) nut. Ace hardware should be able to fix you up

I've recently (this summer) replaced three kitchen faucets. One of my own and two for other family members.

None of the three base nuts were the same. Each were different sizes depending on the brand faucet. One even came with a fancy plastic tightening tool.

Not saying you can't get them but they are not all universal.
As mentioned, take the nut with you.

And just to be sure... you are talking about the large nut that holds the single hole kitchen faucet to the sink/counter and not the supply line nuts?

If this is what you're looking for they're a buck at Lowes or Home Depot:

Striped nut

I know this doesn’t always work but I wrap several wraps of dental floss on the threads that are the problem and tighten nut. This extra gripping area has bailed me out many times.

I broke my faucet when a pot fell out of the cabinet on it...I replaced it with a regular one from the local home store. I had a hard time finding the right part so after the third attempt I just pulled the trailer to their parking lot and kept going back and forth until I had everything done.

Good luck. Mine were all different sizes. I just ended up cutting the pex and replaced with sharkbite connectors and shut offs when I swapped the faucet.

Since it is a center spigot with a pull out spray Im guessing they are much smaller, like maybe 5/16 or 3/8 thread.

My suggestion is to remove the other one, take it to Lowes or HD and get a Stainless nut that is the same thread and Fender Washer (Very Large) to replace the one that is stripped.

When all else fails, buy an epoxy in needle form, Have someone hold the faucet in place, spread the epoxy under the counter, and hope you never have to remove it.
