Tail Light Wiring

I have a 2020 Forest River Forester LE 2851 and was told by the factory to replace my old lights which have a red, white, black and purple wire with the new lights which only have red, white & black wires. I have attached a picture of the old light connections...please advise...Thanks

Those wire colors look somewhat foreign to me.

Usual colors are:

RED - stop/left turn
BROWN - stop/right turn
GREEN - clearance/tail lights
WHITE - ground

I would suggest you use a multimeter to figure the source wires out.
