Thomas Payne Theater Seating footrest release not working

Hello to all -

2024 Wildwood Her Glen 308RL

On the manually operated theater seats, one of them won't 'release' and recline when you pull the strap.

These are manual recline - not power. Usually you pull the strap and the footrest pops up. Now, you can pull as hard as you want but footrest doesn't pop up.

Has anyone had this happen before and maybe any idea how to fix or if there might be a way to get the footrest to pop up manually so I can get in there and take a look at the strap/latch assembly?

Almost new trailer, but we have it permanently parked, so no way to tow it in for repair.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Manual Recline

We too have the manual recline Thomas Payne theater seats. I find that sometimes I have to push in on the foot rest to reduce the spring load on the catch so the manual recline handle can work as required. Not an elaborate solution, but sometimes simple works.

I am definitely going to try that - thank you so much for your advice!

I had that issue with a home loveseat. The cable latch had broken. I found them online and ordered a new cable assembly and easily replaced it. Simple fix at home. Maybe a little harder to reach with the seat bolted down.
