TTPMS Compatibility Question
I just purchased a new 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2507s that came with the TST Tire Pressure sensors in the tires (TST 507 Series). I have a 2021 GMC Yukon that has the capabilities of monitoring trailer tires that have the sensors in them. The Yukon came with valve stem sensors that are labeled 4T. My question is, should the TST 507 sensors that are currently in my trailer tires work with my GMC's on-board monitor or will I need to remove the TST 507 sensors and put in the GMC 4T valve stem sensors for the GMC monitor to work? My trailer came with a TST color display monitor but I want to use the display that is in my Yukon so I don't have to use a separate monitor for the tires.

I'm not sure how the factory GMC system works with that in mind I would wonder if the truck display system would show an alarm when you unhook from the trailer and pull out of range of the sensors?

Ask yourself,"will the GMC valve stems fit your Trailer wheels"? Can you change the Pressure setting on the GMC valve sensors to accept the Trailer Tire pressure ? Youroo!!

Let me clarify... The valve stems came with the Yukon as part of their max trailering package are specifically made to install on a trailer. There is a way to set the tire pressure and temp for the specific trailer. I am just trying to avoid having the replace the ones that came already installed on the trailer.

I would go with the GM OEM valve stems just so I didn’t have to worry about any unforeseen problems.

Internal TPMS transmit on a few different dedicated frequencies. You may want to see what frequency the TST's transmit on and also the GM ones. 315 and 433 ranges are the two common use.

The GMC sensors say 433Mhz. The TST says 433.92 Mhz. Not sure it this means they are different or not.

That is the same. 433Mhz is just short for 433.92Mhz.

I don't believe the built-in sensors will interfere with the add-on sensors. Just screw-on the GMC sensors and try it on the GMC display

The new GMC trailer 4T tire sensors are not the type that screw onto the valve stem. Rather, they are valve stems that mount inside of the tire like a normal valve stem.

Even if the frequency of the two systems are the same they still may not work as the software protocols may be different; I.e. one speaks French but the other only understands English

Even if they "spoke English" there are all kinds of variations. US? UK? Australian, or even Southern and Cajun

Sounds like you were right about speaking different languages. Got an answer from TST Customer Service today... "Because our system is proprietary it unfortunately does not communicate with your GMC. Most of our customers who want to use only 1 screen, add external sensors to their systems so that they can monitor the truck and trailer on the TST display. All 507 sensors are compatible with one another". I'd rather my one screen be the GMC's screen so I will be having the GMC valve stem sensors installed on the trailer.
