Water heater and fridge

On my 2019 290BH Tracer neither my fridge or my water heater is running off of propane. Does anyone have any suggestions on what’s going on? I’ve got propane going to my outside grill and my inside stove so not sure why propane’s not working on the fridge and water heater

Just to make sure.... you're not plugged in?
Usually the water heater has a separate switch to turn it on.
The refrigerator has to be set to 'auto' or 'gas' to run off propane.
The other thing you can check is your battery. Both the fridge and water heater use an electronic ignition and that runs off your battery.

both the fridge and the water heater have a 12 volt control board that is used to initiate the propane burner. the grill do not have these. do you have 12 volt power to the refrigerator and water heater?

So the water heater works. Still no luck with the fridge. I checked breakers and they are all good.

I'm new to RV as well. Having same issue. Stovetop is good but can't get water heater to run off propane. Someone speculated it was air block. if so, how do I purge lines ?

PCK - If you have an exposed gas line under the trailer, near your water heater, you could loosen the fitting until you smell gas.

For both Ryan and pck,
Have to tried purging the gas lines by lighting the stove for a couple of minutes to get the air out of the lines?

The propane devices have a fail safe mechanism that activates after several failed attempts to start. Since the fridge uses the least amount of propane if there is any air in the lines it may fail to start enough times to trigger the fail safe. To reset the control board, pull the 12V fuse for the fridge wait a few seconds then reinsert. Retry the fridge. When ever you have not used the Rv for a while it is always best to start a stove top burner until it burns steady to purge the lines.

No, no. Way too much trouble. Just light the range burners and let them run for 30-60 seconds.

Then the water heater, fridge, and furnace only have to purge a few feet of line.

Just checking you do know it takes a long time (hours) for the fridge to get cold.

Two trips ago it was in the low 90s, and no shade. A/C had a hard time keeping up but no issues with my 3 cuft absorption fridge. Although, come to think about it, that was on AC power, not propane. And maybe the inside temperature being 75 most of the time helped.

Sorry, might really be comparing apples to oranges here.

Reading through the posts, I've not seen you list the make/model of the refrigerator? Having that information will help us help you.

Typically smaller refrigerators that have a pilot light (you mentioned this in post # 12) operate differently than more automated R/V refrigerators with control boards.

We are all just guessing at this point.

The fridge is a Dometic. As for it taking a long time to cool I realize that but it was running the entire nite prior to us leaving and it never cooled down. Once I turned it to electric it started cooling right away. The pilot but I guess the burner is on. when I turn it to gas I hear the clicking and then the Flame starts but that’s it.
