We put methanol injection on an IH 560 gas tractor that we also installed a turbo on.
Factory hp about 50
After turbo and methanol injection about 110 hp.
The meth injection in this case was used to keep tractor from detonating cause we put so much timing to it.

Water/methanol

AEM seems to be the pump of choice however various package units vary in price up to $900.
What is the best one to get?

I was thinking of starting a thread on this. I am not looking for power, but cutting EGTs on my baby diesel. Anyone have experience on how much reduction in EGTs?

Water/Methanol

I think I'm going to go with this medium priced one from
AEM HD Water/Methanol Injection Kit with 5-Gallon Tank @ $499
It's manufactured by AEM and most of the systems out there use AEM pumps by the look of it.

water methinol

I'd like a little more power if possible. I'm going to start towing a car.
From what I've read the most important ingredient in the Water/Methanol injection is a pump that is steady and does not pulsate.
The better mileage benefit is good as well

Here's some good info on WATER/METHANOL and EGT's

I have the Snow Performance stage 2 on my truck, works fantastic. Lowers the egt and gives a fantastic shot of power. Only problem that I have is with the lower egt I can put more coals to the fire when pulling hills so I don't really know if I am actually saving any fuel. I suspect not. But it is good to have. You can buy the mfgr specific fluid or just buy the lowest temp windshield washer fluid you can find. I use -45 celcius stuff and the MSDS sheets show that it is 50/50 methanol, water and a touch of colour.
