Water pump woes

Just bought a new to us Coachmen Apex Nano 213. I figured I would flush the fresh water tank. So after filling it with bleach and water mixture, I ran the faucets and I noticed that the water pump pulsates with a single tap on and not with two on. Is this normal? I tried turning the adjustment screw as seen on youtube but it didn't change. It's a surflo 4008 pump. Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing?

Since it's new to you , I might reccomend you clean out the aerator screens on all the faucets. Easy enough to do

If this happens on both hot and cold there could easily be construction debris in the faucet(s). If only one line there's possible kinks in the plumbing.

I think what you have is normal. With one faucet open the pump pumps water faster the the one faucet passes so it pulses. With two open water flow from both are what the pump pumps so it keeps running. My pump reacts just like yours.

Sounds like you may have a bit of air still in the plumbing system somewhere.

My Avenger does this in the spring when we de-winterize, until all of the air works its way out of the system.

I woudn't worry about it, it's pretty normal.

There is a pressure setting screw on the water pump you can adjust to help with the problem. I've just left my alone, though, and it acts exactly the same way. Perfectly normal, but the screw adjustment can help.

Exactly how our pump ran on our 2018 Cherokee.

Normal pump operation. If you want to minimize the pump switching on and off at low flow rates, you can install an accumulator tank. The accumulator would reduce pump cycling.
