Water system bypass

Forgive me as I can not find this in the search. I am a new owner, and new to rvs in general.
I switched sites recently, as normal hooked everything up to city water as normal and now my fresh water is overflowing and it has never done that and is always 1/3 full. I use it for washing and toilet when traveling. Now I am not sure what to do to fix this. I had a search online with no results as well.

thank you in advance for any help.

Common problem

Try this.
Disconnect city water.
Make sure water pump is off
Open faucet and Run water until it stops
Close faucet and trun on water pump until it stops
Run water for 30 seconds and turn off
Once water pump stops, turn off water pump
Reconnect to city water.

This will reseat the back flow valve in the pump. You should not run water pump when connected to city water.

senanic, it would help us, help you, if you either posted year/make/model of RV or put that info in your profile.

Did you try Flybob's suggestion?
That usually fixes it unless you have very high city water pressure and not using a quality water pressure regulator.
