Weak floor over furnace duct
Hi,
Our floor has had a weak spot at the corner of the oven and sink. I had visions of wood rot and water damage, so I finally got underneath and cut a hatch in the underbelly.
After pulling aside the fiberglass batting I found no wood damage.
But i did find that my living area heater duct was damaged and had more than a few holes torn in it. This was directly under the weak floor spot. The duct runs through a wide space between the aluminum floor supports and directly under the geared shaft for the slide motor.
The weak floor appears to be a poor design from the factory, with thin flooring sagging between the wide supports.
I don't see any way of repairing this from underneath. I believe that the flooring will have to be repaired/ braced from inside the rig.
As for the duct damage ? I patched it up but I have no idea how it got that way.
Anyone else experienced the weak floor issue with a Blue Ridge 3025RL?
