Looks like the foam core aluminum sandwich siding I had on a previous trailer. Not fun to try to wax.

That would be impossible to seal, it will also prematurely wear the seals out (not that they were doing anything anyway).

Didnt like the new style slide walls myself. One salesman I talked to told me it was to stop the wipers from sticking to the slide(more forgiving). Some were colored black and that dont work for me.

The smooth side slide walls were a nightmare with leaks at the floor level trim because the caulking would not adhere well to the smooth surface. I would give a light sand to the wall when caulking and never had problem with caulking separation
