I've had my Flagstaff 831RLBSS for 3 years now & just noticed the attached this past weekend. It penetrates the main frame & is located behind the rear pull down steps. Does anyone know what is? I have no clue.
Yep. It's your manual slide extender. You should have a long-handled crank with a round/slotted end in your camper that could be used to rotate it and extend your slide without power.
I have the same model RV, but am not at it right now. It should be a manual crank either for the slideout or stabilizer in case of electric/motor failure.
The override crank handles were in the drawer under the couch in mine, which is also where they put the countertop extension.

That didn't even cross my mind. Just glad I haven't had to use it! I haven't looked, but, would assume I have the same thing for the bedroom slide. Thanks very much for y'all's help.
Good thing you haven't needed it so far!!! But now you know. Make sure you are in possession of the long handled crank 007matman refers to in case you ever need to use it to retract your slide.
