Anyone have one? Ours just snapped off the roof of my fifth wheel when it got snagged in sagging electrical wires. My question is: can it be replaced? If it broke off will it leave a gaping hole in the roof of my fifth wheel?
We just bought the 5th wheel used and it came with it. The mounting bracket seems to have stayed on the roof. (Picture below of the unit and base where it snapped)
My worry is it will it leak into my RV now during rain? I cant go look up there to see if it left any holes. This happened by my transport company as he was bringing it into a storage lot and we had to leave right then. The transporter agreed to fix this but i have doubts as his mother passed away same day this happened. (Yesterday)
I left my RV at this guys storage lot (same guy that hauled it) for 10 months in Florida….I cant inspect any damage till i get back next january
It didnt even occur to me to check the roof till we were long gone and on our way back home to MD….
