Thank you all for your donations.
The bills for the site are payed for by YOU our members. As the site continues to grow the expenses grow along with it, software updates, bandwidth, and server space. We are now on a dedicated server as we have grown so fast. A dedicated server means more cost to keep us up and running. We NEED YOUR HELP!!. Please keep in mind that when donating, PayPal gets their cut of the pie (2.9% + $.30 per transaction). The total tallied does not take into account the fees that PayPal gets but the donation amount that was made.
Unlike other forums on the web this forum is not in business to make money. Your donations keep us up and running.
Thank you all again,
greg

Well many of you want to know why the site has been acting up for the past few months.
Well we grew to big to fast and the server could not keep up.
I am now leasing a new server for us and MUST have more help paying the bill,
Our site cost is now about 170.00 per month just to break even anbd I would love to do this on my own but the times are effecting me also as well as my illness.
So I am begging PLEASE donate so I dont have to look at closing the site.
Sorry and thanks
If we all pitch in a small amount we can do this.
Mike
P.S. We are on the new server now.

Good work, Mike and Greg! I'm sure that I speak for many when I say how valuable and informative this site is and wish that it can continue as a gathering spot for us campers. We can only ensure this with continued support through donations. Please give generously.

Go ahead and get Adsense running on ORR.net.
The new job keeps me road bound and pays 2/3 what the old job paid, so I'll slip you something when I get a little caught up.
But in the meantime I have no objections to relevant adds appearing on ORR.net.

As I look over the list of donations, I see some names that should be on the list (since I have been billed I just hope that it went where I wanted to go).

Sorry been in the hospital and also trying to pack to move this weekend.

As far as the server goes I will look up all the data other than this and post later

sudgested donation amount
Hi I just made a donation to the site, as I have used it quite a few times since we bought our trailer and I do see it as a valuable resource.
However, I realised that I have know way of knowing how many people the $2400 dollers per year is spread among with donees . . . I guess if you grew to big for the server the there must be a lot . . .??
Anyway . . what would you consider a fair donation for use of the site?
Please do not say "any amount helps" (which I know), I would just like to do my part.
Thanks for your hard work

First I have not donated.
Why As long as you permit members who have not made a donation, to provide
links to their personal business you should not expect others to donate.
Disconnect the links or charge a fee for this service.
