2016 Tag Axle Berk

I was searching for info or pics on the new 2016 tag axle Berk but came up empty except for this little tidbit. Specs from FL on the chassis. Not only will it be a tag but it will also have a side radiator.

Be nice to see a 150 gallon fuel tank on a tag axle with a 450 Cummins vs a 100gal. I know the Charleston doesn't have one either. Just saying FR if your reading....lots of other brand tag axles have bigger tanks...

James,
It does have a 150 gal fuel tank. I guess that tell us that you won't be getting the approx. 10 mpg with the 450 hp that you get with the 360 hp.

2016 Tag Axle Berk

Wow optional steerable tag axle! I like that 43A floorplan.

I was shopping Newmar but this could be my next Moho.

Cool, in the specs I saw it was listed as 100. Not sure where I read that though. Glad it's not. You know though I would be curious on mileage. I was camped next to a guy with a Newmar with the 500 or 550 Cummins, tag axle and over 42'. He said he didn't know what kind of mileage he got. "Never looked" he said. And they lived in it full time. I guess thats the difference between my level of money and his...lol. I knew exactly how much mileage I got and when, pulling this or that etc etc.

Of course no units in stock, but you can call and order.

2016 Tag Axle Berk

Oh man, a free sewer hose!! I'm in!!

If 346k and change is the price then a Newmar I will buy. That's if I upgrade ever. Seems to me that it should come in below what a Charleston cost, but that's just me.

New Berk

Pretty nice if you ask me, its 43 ft. with has a steerable tag axle 450 hp Cummins with 1250 ft lbs of torque. And it comes with a full slide on the driver side, and 2 slides on the other. 3 slides in all. But thats the best pic. I can give.

I've had the brochure about the new Berkshire XLT for several weeks, but was asked not to release it. People who visited the Berkshire / Charleston / Legacy plant during the FROG Rally saw one in production.

Now that it's been published in RVBusiness and rolled out at the Hershey show last week, here it is:

If anybody is looking for upgrades to a tag, check out rv trader. Plenty of new 2014/15 Charlestons out there with attractive numbers. As a matter of interest there is a 2014 430fk with 10k miles in AZ with an asking price of $209+.

Actually, it has four slides. The driver's side has one slide for the dinette and the living room sofa, and another for the bedroom. The passenger's side has one for the kitchen and another for the bedroom. The bathroom is not on a slide.

You can see the first floor plan on the brochures posted above. I understand that others will be coming.

Berkshire Driver, no problem. The information is now published and the unit has been rolled out, so feel free to publicize it.

The one in the photo is parked about 50 yards from where we have our FROG booth at the Dealer Expo. I'll get some interior shots and post them this week.

So I need to ask the question. Will this be a 2016 or a 2015 when you go to register it ?
