2017 38A Bunk beds to hard

Is is just my 2017 38A or do others have bunk beds that are like sleeping on a hard road? My granddaughter said her bed is to hard. I got on it and it did not sink down one bit.

It isn't just your imagination. Told my significant other that a city bench would be more comfortable then those bunks in the '16 38A. Our border collie thinks it's his. He's right!

I've tested our bunks (2014 390BH) and they're not too bad... My kids / guests have never complained. My father in law prefers the bunk over the sofa bed! We've added a blow up mattress that goes on the sofa pullout and it's much better. I've heard of others putting a memory foam piece on the bunks.

Haven't tested our bunks but never had a complaint from my grandkids or from an adult female who has slept there. I too have heard that others put foam toppers on their mattresses.

The Bunks in our Wildwood TT are hard.. My kids prefer the jackknife sofas..

Have a 2015 38A and liken the bunks to the bunks I slept on in the Sub.Service.Not to soft and not to hard,just need the right pillow.

I would agree, our 2016 38A bunk beds are as hard as a park bench.

So far, only the cat has really appreciated them. No one else has lasted a night.

Ironically this is the first time my 2 granddaughters are complaining about uncomfortable hard bunks. We will have to look for memory foam toppers for the bunks.

We have had several trailers and regularly purchase 4" foam pads to go under the thin ones the manufacture provides. We have also ordered from a local mattress store a residential style mattress for the master bedroom with pocket coil, pillow top etc. It usually takes about 3 weeks to get thrusting size. Our new trailer has a double lower bed in the bunk house. We are ordering a residential double mattress so for it

We found the perfect solution. Our guests say it is like sleeping on a cloud! I found a featherbed that is actually made for a fold away cot (so it fits the bunks perfectly). I don't know. I only shop the catalog and their website. I have heard that they have a store somewhere, but I haven't been to it

I just bought a 2" queen memory foam and cut it in two for the bunks. A major difference. My kids were singing my praises for adding them.

I added to the top. Sheets still fit just a little snug. Actually slept on one the other night and much improved. And i am not a little guy.

You are very welcome, I am glad I could help. When my husband's cousin stayed with us last summer he said he "slept like a baby"! Now if the mattress topper could make the cousin chip in for food and not just show up with an appetite and a smile, we would be on to something!!
