You couldn't run both AC's at the same time. You would also be limited as to what other electrical appliances you could run when you had 1 AC going.

A few weeks ago I camped at a Corp of Engineers Campground here in Tennessee. The power post had a bad breaker on the 50 amp side so I had to use the 30 amp. I have 13.5K ac units and was able to run both on 30 amp. But when we tried the microwave it popped the breaker. So I think if you're careful you can get away with running both ACs.

You can run both AC's on 30 amp, but you won't be able to run anything else like microwave.

If both start up at the same time mine will trip the breaker. As a result I will only run one to be sure I don't do damage to them. It can't be good to have them shut down while trying to start.

Get the cord that plugs into a 30 amp and a 20 amp and has a 50 amp plug on the end... Priceless

Like jcowles said , get yourself a cheater box.

They won't work (as a rule) on GFCI outlets.

I have a 50 to 30 amp "dogbone" and an adaptor for that to plug into a 15amp 3 prong socket at the house. I avoid extension cords but can keep 1 a/c going while I have the rig at home. I plan to put a 30/50 amp box outside, but I've plugged up like this without issue. I (RIGHT OR WRONG) go in and change the charger/inverter shore power setting to 5 amps. My assumption (RIGHT OR WRONG) is that the battery charger won't try to draw heavy from the wall socket.

Has anyone had issues with the inverter having internal fault problems when your hooked up to a 20 or 30 amp? At home on a 20 amp, my inverter fault light would do the 5 flashes signaling an internal fault usually a couple minutes after I'd reset it. On 30 amp, it lasted about a week then started faulting. When u reset it on the 30 amp, it would last a couple hrs or longer before faulting. Now I'm on a 50 amp and it hasn't started faulting yet, even when both acs are running.
I took it to the shop and they couldn't duplicate the problem, I think they were on 50 amp too.
