We made it to Hickories City Park & CG in Owego, NY....

It’s a “no reservation” CG and God was watching over us because we got the LAST available site.... 30AMP FHU - $25.00.... (crazy water connection is 75’ away up a hill so we will use on-board water tonight)

ALSO: Got pulled over by an Ohio State Trooper that said when I merged I cut him off —- OOPS!!!!

Told him I never saw him and I had checked all mirrors and rear camera....

He let me off with a warning.... Whew!!!!!

Ernest. Lots of good stops in New York. When you get to Massachusetts take 495 south and go to Normandy Farms CG. Then head north to Maine. You will love the campground. We will be there tomorrow for ten days.

We took our coach across Lake Champlain on a ferry one time. Really cool. From Port Kent N.Y. to Burlington Vermont. Don’t know if you are going to be down that way or not. That my GPS while on the ferry.

Just have your wallet open! Normandy Farms is great, they know it, and charge accordingly. We stay there occasionally. If you can put up with Electric only, try a State Park. Wampatuck State Park by Hingham is $33 a night. That is about the best you can do price wise in that area. We have a daughter that lives in Hull and have tried everything in the area. Normandy and Wampatuck are the best options.

We’ve found a wonderful CHEAP location for the night - the parking lot of Cabalas in Hudson, MA...

GREAT RV sites that are free - no hookups but we’ll just run our generator (like the two semi’s parked with us...

Very quiet, safe location....

Crazy Weekly rate - $274.00 for 30amp.... (PA did get the rate reduced a tad)

Heading over to Bath, NH to have my inverter worked on.... (cooling fan not working). Closest tech is in NH....

Haven’t had any lobster yet.... not a real fan.... I’m a steak guy....

Left Bangor, ME headed to Bath, NH where the ONLY Magnum Inverter tech in NE is located....

I either have a frozen cooling fan or a bad FET card.....

Spent Tue/Wed nites in CG near Bath and tech came out yesterday afternoon and checked things out.... Fan was ok so bad FET board (and wouldn’t u know it - factory sent wrong one!!!!

John (NH tech got on his phone and called 8 other tech and finally located one that had the part near Philadelphia......

Sooooo - tonight we are in a Walmart parking lot in Catskill, NY headed for a 2:00 appt in New Holland, PA....

Then, hopefully, we can continue our slow drift South....

Finally - cell service!!!! Been without for a few days.....

We are in Bedford, PA for next 2 nites at Friendship Village RV Park then move into WV to a COE park for abt a week...

Finally got inverter fixed Friday in New Holland, PA (way out in the country in the middle of Amish country). Horse buggies and bikes everywhere....

Had to replace the FET board AND the control board... drum rolllllllll - $796.00!!!!

Thank goodness for my Coach-net extended warranty!!!! I paid a $200 deductible......

Now working like a new one (oh wait - it’s almost new now isn’t it)

Stayed in a SP last night that was NOTHING like the Allstays review - It definitely WASN’T big rig friendly....

Roads in it were all new asphalt (that’s the only good comment I have) BUT they were extremely narrow with super tight turns...

Plus our site was halfway up an extremely steep hill..

This made unhooking our car a nightmare.... Finally got backed into the site and there was no way to level (rear tires would be off the ground and that’s a no no)

Had paid for 3 nites but bailed out of there (got refund on last 2 nites....

Told park ranger they really needed to be more honest on their web site and warn big rigs about these issues.....

Guy said I was the first to say anything- YEAH!!!! RIGHT!!!!!

Glad to hear your fixed up good now. Friendship Village is a nice campground and a short drive up to the Flight 93 Memorial. Hoss's near the turnpike exit is usually a good meal at a decent price, my wife loves the salad bar and soups there.

Heading South now....

This beautiful spot is in Stony Fork NFCG near Wytheville, VA..... Peaceful forest setting with great level asphalt sites (30 amp/water - $17.00)

Got here Friday and will head out Wednesday AM.....

Plan on 7 nites at the Douglas Tailrace COE CG in Sevierville, TN.... Stayed there last year and really enjoyed it.....
