This is where we've been since January 29 and we were glad to have it.....

Like soooo many others, the virus has forced us to "remain in place" which was made even more critical since COE, NFCG, BLM and most Boonedocking spots we prefer were closed....

IBUT...... Today we received exciting news from our planned summer work camping positions at The Crazy Horse Memorial in Custer, SD....

They plan on reopening on May 18th so we will be heading towards Custer. SD on May 6th with a May 11th arrival....

The 13th - 16th will be spent in training us all in the new safety procedures they will be putting in place - a very extensive list I might add...

We are looking forward to getting back on the road again and getting back to the Badlands we so love....

I'll keep everyone up-to-date as we head out for yet another great adventure.....

Happy to hear for you!

Here in NJ Sat May 2, they are opening state parks! It is also going to be 70+ degrees- I hope everyone keeps their cool so the governor does not shut them down again.

Started her up today and let her fast idle for about 30 mins..... Checked oil/water levels....

Will run generator for about 30 mins under load to check for leaks, etc..., Plan on using roof air until we get to a litter cooler elevation....

Gotta get some of this cheap diesel ($1.91) before we leave town on Wednesday......

Made it to the Rocking A RV Park in Vernon, TX today.... After being in Texas for the past 5 months, it was good to be back on the road again....

GOOD GRIEF!!!!! Traffic was crazy!!!! Interstates bumper to bumper.... 18 wheelers everywhere doing their part to keep our country alive - we ALL thank them for their dedication!!!!

Had zero issues finding CGís...... (state parks still closed)

Berk performed like the champ she is.... Averaged 10.7 mpg as she just rolled along... Found diesel for $1.85 a gal and was pleased with that....

Head for Dalhart, TX tomorrow (yes - it takes 2 days to get out of Texas!!!)

It is a large state. It's around 3 days if you start out at Brownsville and head toward Dalhart, Tx (900 miles).
Safe travels.

Here we are at the KOA in Reton, NM....

Obviously not our favorite kind of site...

Tomorrow we climb Raton Pass (7,800í) and enter CO.... This climb is fairly intense but weíve done it many times in the pass..... Gotta hit the beginning with some speed and then downshift as we climb.... Then the decent into CO definitely requires the engine brake.....

Gonna be COLD here tonight (36) and cool in the AM...

Made it to The Loveland RV Resort about 4:30..... kinda overcast - looks like snow clouds rolling in....

Made the Raton Pass climb (6.4%) and finally saw those snow capped mts.... Beautiful!!!!

Head to Douglas, WY tomorrow....

Whatís up with CO closing ALL the rest areas???? Tough to find a spot to pull off so the driver (me) can make a restroom stop...

Did find diesel for $1.89 at a Loveís which was a nice surprise....,
