Adventure 2021
Exciting things are falling into place for a super 2021 adventure!!!!!
Yesterday I accepted a job in the Maine Highlands (Wilderness)!!!
We will be part of a group of workkampers at a super cool CG serving as hosts and in addition, I’ll be leading 4, 8 or 12 hour moose/wildlife excursions and/or wilderness excursions!!!!!
We are to report early May - weather permitting.....
Soooooo. Hopefully I’ll be posting tons of amazing pictures...

I love Maine! but everytime we go- we say this is the time we will go inland- but hit the beautiful coast.
I have to say- in the 6 trips there never saw a moose.

Maybe you should head to your summer gig a bit early Ernest They might need a little help digging out camping pads !!

Yeah - we have a son/family that live in Bangor (hr from where we’ll be) so he’s getting blasted about now....
Not unusual for them to still have snow on ground early May.. We hope to be there May 7 and CG opens for season on May 15... All depends on weather....

Let us know your travel route, I for one would love to catch up and meet if you came somewhere close to us, plus maybe someone might have some good suggestions for a stopover

I haven’t settled on my route yet.... Been to Bangor twice and I truly hate the drive...
There’s no easy way from Jasper, TX to Millinocket, ME!!!!
I definitely will take my time and try to avoid large city situations.....
Not sure when CG’s up that way actually open for the season so that might be an issue as well.....

I understand, we are in Delaware and if you would come up the east coast corridor the state park near us and a short drive off of 95 is open year round with full hook ups but all back in sites, they are also a Passport America and Sunday to Thursday half off but need to stay at least 2 nights

I appreciate the info but I believe I’ll go further west and come in thru VT and NH somehow....
I despise the larger cities in the NE so I plan on taking longer, staying further West and avoiding them....

I understand, we live right off of 95 and it is terrible, if we head north I will only really do it on a early Sunday morning especially if towing.

Friday I was offered a job in Yellowstone as a fishing guide!!!! Sounds wonderful - right???? Especially for someone that was a guide in Texas for over 25 years!!!!
Not so fast grasshopper!!!!
I’d have to provide all tackle, rods/reels, lures, etc..... enough for 6 clients which would mean I’d really need 12 of everything (to last 4 months).
I’d estimate that at about $1,800.00..
In addition I’d have to pay for my RV site ($300+/month)
Because I’d live in my RV and not in dorms I’d get no provided meals....
Zero WiFi at RV park but provided at dorm....
Work week - 40+ hrs so very little time to enjoy Yellowstone....
Think I’ll pass on that one even though I’d love the fishing part of it...

Adventure 2021
Wow: Guess they pretty proud of their park. Must be some kind of a monetary payment also. Guess that have to be pretty good for you to stay in your mobile mansion.
