I have had a couple of chips filled in the windshield. Depending on the size of the chip and the experience of the person doing the work, sometimes you can’t even see them when they are done. Pretty amazing and a lot less expensive than a whole new windshield.
Got a new nice rock chip in the windshield, no sweat, whatcha gonna do? Nothing, keep driving, get to my Destination and make me a drink!!
I will call a glass chip repair guy Monday. [emoji41]
I have used a 2-part epoxy glue to seal a rock chip and prevent it from spreading. I thought I would be taking care of the windshield right away but I lived with that chip (which never developed spidering cracks) for about 9 months. Thankfully it wasn’t in my line of vision so that “temporary” repair really worked well. I carry a super glue type with me but haven’t had to use it again (knock on wood”!!
This must be the season for rock chips. Travelling through Virginia on 64E and a UPS tandem trailer passed me an threw up a rock. Nice spider chip in my windshield!

Yes, when I finally got around to taking care of it, my insurance covered it with no charge (I think -- but my rate went up anyway - living in Florida!)
Had the windshield replaced on my 2013 390RB this past April. Not an experience I want to repeat. After 2 tries at installing a molding I finally decided to go without one. BTW I wouldn’t recommend Nationwide RV Glass. They do waive $150 of the deductible but the shop they sent me to really didn’t have the manpower to do an RV. Finally got it all worked out to where I can live with it but don’t want to do it again.
