Any problems with the Forest River Berkshire (390RB-60)

Hi,
I am new to these forums and looking at this RV to purchase:

2013 Forest River Berkshire (390RB-60)

My wife and I like the looks but does anyone have any input as to the Berkshire's issues and reliability? We had a Damon Tuscany that was a bit of a problem.

Thanks beforehand.

We have a 2008 Berk and are crazy about it.... Only problem we've had is not being able to keep it on the road as much as we want...

We weighed the Tuscany against the 390bh-60 and ended up with the Berkshire. They were comparably priced but the build quality and standard equipment turned us toward the Berkshire. We got a washer/dryer, full sized fridge, satellite, led lighting, full tile floors, and the list goes on. My previous Damon got about 7.5 mpg and my Berkshire averages over 10. Have you done a walk through of both?

That's funny...... I wanted a Tuscany, but it was $28K more than my 2011 390RB-40. Plus the Tuscany was one year older and had more miles on it.

I found my '11 on the net with less than 3K miles on it. In fact most of those miles were getting it from Elkhart to Alvarado, TX and then onto Salt Lake City.

It WAS titled so I'm at their mercy on warranty (other than chassis... that transferred to me). But at $125K for an '11, I just couldn't pass up that deal.

So far everything's gone pretty well with no major problems. I'm glad to hear that you feel the Berky quality is on a par with the Tuscany; I sorta felt it wasn't quite as good.

We LOVE the thing; the only thing missing is a POWERED step well cover.

Speaking of that if anyone knows of a FR dealer that has a particularly good service dept, let me know. If I can find a good competent tech, I'd be inclined to do the upgrade.

Good Luck with your decision.

Boowho??
