Just finished tightening mine after the slide would neither go in or out.
The slots used for adjusting are just barely long enough to raise the motor enough so the pinion gear engages the rack. I may have those slots elongated a bit if it happens again, so that I can make sure the pinion is completely engaged in the rack.
Has anyone heard a "story" about why FR used a combination of THREE different systems to move slides; specially when cable are supposed to be the most troublesome??
I've heard it has something to do with a contract signed many years ago that stipulated that every coach FR built had to have a LEAST one cable moved slide. Anyone able to confirm this?? It sounds bizarre to say the least.
