Berk in the Keys

We made it to Bluewater Key RV on Friday. Going to be here for the week. First time in the Keys! Coach performed flawlessly on the trip down from Mississippi(as usual).

Enjoy the Keys and Blue Water Key!! We will be going back in February. Couldn't get into Blue Water so we are going to Boyds.

Yes it is! We drove through it last February when we were trying to make a reservation for next February. All high-end coaches, paved or paver pads, and beautiful views. Kind of pricey though ($$$). Cost was to be between $150-$200/nite. 2016 rates had not been established when we were there. Not sure what the summer rates are like.

Bluewater Key is my favorite resort and, frankly, the most beautiful we have ever been to. We've visited there for the last 6 years. We have been on 69, 78, 79 and 80. Our favorites are 79 and 80. Looking forward to our next trip down there in a couple of months. Enjoy your visit while I try to contain my jealousy!

We make an effort to travel to the Keys at least twice a year. We generally stay at the Marathon Key USCG Station, 4 very nice campsites or Sigsbee NAS, on Key West, over 100 campsites. Granted, they don't have some of the amenities a lot of the Civilian campsites have, but they are very convenient and have all the necessary facilities. Those of you who are retired or active Military would benefit greatly by looking into these facilities.

Did you triple tow with the Jeep and jet skis?

I did until Tallahassee and got pulled over by FHP. He was very nice, but said that was not allowed in Florida. He let me go to the next rest area to unhook so it would be safe. I towed the jetskis and my daughter drove the Jeep the rest of the way.

I have a 390BH-60 w/10k towing capacity and he made a point to mention that all my lights were working correctly. He didn't notice any problems, just that it isn't legal to tow 2 units I Florida.

Glad you didn't get a ticket. Blue Water is or favorite also. I don't know if we will get back this year but hope to. Enjoy.

Yep, no ticket just a warning. I called before we started and the DOT told me I couldn't tow 2 trailers. When I mentioned it to him he made a few calls and said it was 2 "units" not trailers.

We rode the jetskis to Sugarloaf lodge yesterday! If I had seen your post earlier we would have stopped by!
