Berkshire Air Chuck

Somewhat trivial Mod finished - installed a shutoff valve between the Air chuck and my Air Hose. Also found the perfect place to store the hose & digital gage!

I would not think it would be effective at the front of the coach????

Might want to put it out back. Tie it into the light power in the engine bay.

Actually Jim, Bankston installed it as a "Favor" to me...it was laying on the table and they thought they would give me a freebie install

When I told them their OOPS yesterday they were really embarrassed and said that they would remount it over our electrical compartment when we return back for the Slide Service in 3 or so weeks.

OK. Here is what I've done with the air chuck on the firewall.

I got a pressure regulator. I can safely blow out my water lines in the fall, and also see the air pressure in the air tank when I'm using my air hose to fill tires.

I put it between male and female Milton connectors and the unit just plugs in.

For my air hose, I coil it up and put it in the left front electrical bay, which I have to open to release the generator and see the air chuck. I am careful to make sure the brass fittings get nowhere near the 12v busses in the electrical bay.

Gordon, That is a great Mod! Thanks for the post.

If any are interested, this is the digital pressure gauge I got for the air line:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the Big Mac Daddy of the pressure gauges! Lifetime warranty and a ±1% full scale range with display resolution of .5 in either PSI, KPA, Bar, and Kgf/cm2.

What I really like is the 18" stainless steel braided air hose, and the "push-to-inflate" thumb trigger with built-in air bleeder valve (and a valve stem clip that actually works )

Works as a check gauge without hooking up the air hose as well.

Bob,
It looks a bit like the one that I got at Canadian Tire for a similar price. It fills and tests at the same time. One of the few examples where we Canucks get a competitive deal on something with a low sales volume.

I always wonder about the accuracy of the gauges, despite what they advertise. So I double check with several gauges.

–cheers, Gordon
