Berkshire owners manual

We have a 2022 Berkshire XL 37A. We were given a thumb drive and the online link to Berkshire manuals. Has anyone been able to get their hands on an actual physical owners manual. The thumb drive and link are ok for general information but are not comprehensive on all systems and components. We do have the manuals for things like fridge, dish washer, washer & dryer, tv’s, etc. But as an example, I had a warning light come on and did not recognize it. I tried to find information on dash info center warning lights and I finally found it after an extensive Google search. I called the dealer, Freightliner and Forest River and no help on getting an actual owners manual. They just referred me to online links.

As far as I know, there is no model-specific nor brand-specific owners manual. Just a generic owners manual with no model-specific information.
Maybe for the Freightliner chassis.
Hopefully someone from the Berkshire division will see your post.

Thanks, bikendan. I’m coming to the conclusion that you are right. And yes, hopefully someone from Berkshire does share some insight on this.

There isn't really a model specific owner's manual; just one for motorized and it has good information but for chassis information you could contact Freightliner regarding more information on the chassis and drivetrain. I have attached a Forest River motorized owner's manual.

Of course, if you have a motorhome similar to my 2015 Berk 34QS, there is my model-specific owners manual, linked from my signature. It is over 100 pages long and covers a lot of general things that apply to other models.

Thank you, Lincman, I’ve downloaded that link to my reading list. I still cannot find a chart or list of the cockpit dashboard info center warning lights. Many will be self explanatory or common but I’d like to be prepared for the ones that are not. It took me two days and numerous phone calls to figure out the HEST DPF warning light I was getting. It dings and the orange/yellow symbol that looks like a thermometer with three puffs of smoke lights up. Do you have any idea where I can get that chart or list?

Also, Lincman983, I’ve contacted Freightliner and the dealership and neither of them could provide the chart or list or direct me to where I might find it.

Here is what i found by doing a simple google search and putting Freightliner Custom Chassis dash symbols. I have a few excerpts for the Optiview dash and also the complete manual attached.

FROG, that is actually where I got that manual from; if you select the owner's manual tab on the top right that is the version that is downloaded to PDF format.

Thanks, Lincman, I'll let IT know. The newer manuals have owners' manuals, component manuals, links to videos and other support, schematics in some cases, and a lot more. It looks as if the download link might have to be updated.

So we have went to the digital manuals so we can update and provide more information over the past few years, that why we give the thumb driver. you also might be able to find information on or website forestriverinc.com under owners. from the issue you described I doubt we would have had that information in a manual because it sounds like it was a freightliner error code. for anything to do with the chassis we always recommend calling the 1-800-FTL_Help line as that will ring back to freightliner custom chassis in SC where the chassis are built. hope that helps.
