Berkshire Plant tour
I am going to be in Elkhart on September 18 for a Notre Dame game, and was contemplating doing a tour of the Berkshire plant.
Is it worthwhile? What exactly is there to see on the tour?
Sent from my iPhone 'cause I'm probably out in the RV!

If you're going to be in the area, it's certainly worth seeing. Not HUGE by any means, you'll be done is 30 minutes or less.

We went in June and it was interesting to see the manufacturing process. You'll see plenty of motorhomes in various stages of completion and some of the processes they use to put these together.
If you're an existing owner, then I would recommend meeting with the parts and repair folks and building a rapport with them. Also, if you have any items that you need worked on, the factory repair facility is very good at fixing these issues as well as others you may not be aware of.

We were there in June. Thought it was very interesting and meeting Randy Houser and Andy Thompson was great.

The tour is worthwhile--might consider the RV Hall of Fame & museum while there. It's on the North side of Elkhart. Maybe 5 mile from FR factory. Museum well worth 1/2 day.

Agreed on the RV HoF. My family really enjoyed it. We didn't spend 1/2 a day, but were a little rushed trying to get back outside to other stuff.

Now that's downright cruel. DJP6371, I did NOT purposely tee it up for him,
Still, it shows really quick wit by koherch. My kinda man.
