Berkshire Wish List

As many of you know, Forest River has taken the Berkshire to the next level with a side radiator, steerable tag model. Now the question is what else would you like to see on a Berkshire?

Here's what we have so far:
Reusable Emergency Exit Door in lieu of the Emergency Exit Window
Smart Wheel
On Board Wi-Fi or Cell Booster

So what else is in your wish list?

Ed

I would love to be rid of the trap door style pass through for the electric cord. A cut out in the bay with a rubber lined place to put the cord like Newmar does would be very nice.

FR; are you listening? I would like a more convenient door latch for the water pump bay. - Hank

I forgot to add auto-lock on baggage doors. This is a fun exercise until we get charged for the upgrades.

In two years of owning my Berkshire I have never thought of one item where FR has cut corners or sacrificed quality (okay, maybe Dan's $7 lighted entry door handle that was pre-wired). I a pretty discriminating buyer and trust me I did plenty of motorhome research prior to buying my Berk. This thread was not built on quality control enhancements, just a light hearted wish list for owners or prospective buyers to add as we are the ones who know these units the best.

Aqua-Hot, Larger captain and passenger seats and all the other stuff that was mention or just having wiring and pluming in place for the add on at a later date or build up the bank account and install when you or I can afford them . Thanks do like the wish list.Just having the bigger stuff in place DEF tank and other big items , that can't be a afterthought or be installed by some of us.

The site team has done a cleanup here. We removed some political posts and also moved the posts comparing Berkshires to Dutchstars to their own thread.

Please keep your posts on topic to the initial intent of this thread, which is a wish list for Berkshires.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program

I would also like to see a fluid level indicator in the wet bay. It would make it easy to check fluids while dumping and/or adding water to the black tank after dumping.

By the way, thanks WM

I would like to see more thought put into kitchen cabinets.

None of the cabinets around sink are wide enough for plates.

Cabinets under sink need deviders.

It would be nice to have a panty and a better designed kitchen drawer.

Wall to wall shower cabinet with towel rack.

Proper latch on drawer below love seat.

Driver window that does not rattle.

Reinforced area on wall and slides for placement of slide locks.

FR replaced most of those drivers windows. That was the first warranty item down in mine. You might ask if they would cover yours.

For floorplans like my 2013 390RB a better ducting arrangement for the front furnace. Maybe this has already been fixed, don't know.

Berkshire Wish List

Larger fresh, gray and black water tanks (fresh water tank that actually holds a full tank of usable water). We get put to shame by toy haulers. We can only boondocks for 3 days. Not good!
